Why Martyn?

With over 20 years of experience under my belt, Martyn knows what makes a magic show memorable.

As well as co-writing and producing the ITV2 Magic Show ‘Tricked’, Martyn advised on Britain’s Got Talent, The Royal Variety Performance, and films such as The Illusionist and Oliver Twist. He is also an award-winning member of The Inner Magic Circle, the highest degree in the society with a limit of 300 magicians around the world.

Martyn has been the Resident Magician at Wembley Stadium since 2008, and has performed live magic at Buckingham Palace, 10 Downing Street, and the House of Lords.

“Thank you so much for the show this evening, it was insanely good! Everyone loved it – I think you might have melted Matthew’s brain.”

FAQS: Your corporate event magician questions answered

Are you insured?

I have £10,000,000 public liability insurance but have never had to make a claim since starting as a full-time magician in 2001 (touch wood).

Should I choose a member of The Magic Circle?

In order to become a member of The Magic Circle you are required to take an exam, therefore any member of The Magic Circle should have a good grasp of magic. However, when it comes to magic at a corporate event, you need someone who has excellent magic skills and is also personable, polite, reliable, entertaining, smartly dressed, and above all experienced – unfortunately, these are not all included on The Magic Circle’s scorecard (the smartly dressed one is - sort of.)

So while being a member of The Magic Circle is most definitely a plus, it’s by no means a guarantee. I’m a member of The Inner Magic Circle and won their Originality Award too.

By far the best way to find a great magician is by personal recommendation, reading testimonials, or speaking to clients that have used them before. Take a look at some of my testimonials here and, if you’d like contact numbers for previous clients, please get in touch.

What if you’re not available?

If our dates don’t match up, I’ll happily recommend another performer. There are hundreds of magicians in the UK, but there are only about 6 or 7 that I’d personally recommend - feel free to ask! They are all magicians that I work with on a regular basis and are of an excellent standard.

“He was absolutely amazing and everyone has been talking about him and how good he was. My managing director was thoroughly impressed. Thank you so much.”
