TV Magic Consulting

Magic Consultant for Britain's Got Talent

Richard Jones was invited to perform a guest spot during the live finals of this year's Britains Got Talent. I worked with Richard and Nigel Mead to create the routine he presented on the show. A great deal of work, rehearsal and preparation went into this and we were all delighted with how it turned out. He really stunned the judges and the millions of viewers watching live with his amazing performance. Watch it below:

Writing for BGT Winner's TV Show

January this year was spent at ZigZag Productions where I was Co-Writer and Magic Producer for a TV special for ITV called 'Operation Magic'.

The one-hour show stars Britain's Got Talent winner Richard Jones and sees him entertaining the public, the army and celebrities with his magical skills.

Operation Magic is on ITV at 6pm on Saturday 15th April and is followed by the first episode of this year's Britain's Got Talent.

Tricked House of Horrors on ITV2

We've just finished writing and production of a 'Tricked' 1 Hour Halloween Special, and it will be on ITV2 at 9pm on 27th October.

The spooky themed show includes celebrity guests Jamie Laing, Marnie Simpson, Danni Armstrong and Scott Thomas & Kady McDermott. Plus, a 'buff butler' gets the the fright of their life in a particularly gruesome prank with a French Guillotine.

Over the last 4 years, I've co-written and been magic producer for 22 Hours of TV magic on 'Tricked'.

Award-winning Magic!

Last night I attended a glamorous awards ceremony at The Brewery, where Tricked Series 1 picked up the award for ‘Best Entertainment Show’. Beating competition from Made In Chelsea, Release The Hounds, The Revolution Will Be Televised, Sexy Beasts and magic show, Troy. Renowned within the industry, the Broadcast Digital Channel Awards have been recognising innovation and creativity for the past ten years.

Judges said: ‘Tricked boosted Thursday night on ITV2 and provided a strong inheritance for Keith Lemon’s Celebrity Juice’, they described Ben as a ‘fresh, engaging new talent’ and said the show ‘brought panache and innovation to a familiar genre’.

We’ve nearly finished series 2 which will be on in September.
