Writing for BGT Winner's TV Show

January this year was spent at ZigZag Productions where I was Co-Writer and Magic Producer for a TV special for ITV called 'Operation Magic'.

The one-hour show stars Britain's Got Talent winner Richard Jones and sees him entertaining the public, the army and celebrities with his magical skills.

Operation Magic is on ITV at 6pm on Saturday 15th April and is followed by the first episode of this year's Britain's Got Talent.

The Royal Variety Performance

It was my absolute pleasure to work with Britain's Got Talent winner Lance Corporal Richard Jones to help create the act he presented for his spot on The Royal Variety Performance. We started work on this back in October and all Richard's hard work paid off, when he received a standing ovation from 3500 people, including Prince Charles and Camilla.

During the performance, a lady was chosen at random from the audience to help - but she wasn't the most keen of helpers as OK! Magazine noticed.

Richard's emotional card trick was well received on Twitter, with lots of tweets from people who had been moved to tears by the routine.

Tricked House of Horrors on ITV2

We've just finished writing and production of a 'Tricked' 1 Hour Halloween Special, and it will be on ITV2 at 9pm on 27th October.

The spooky themed show includes celebrity guests Jamie Laing, Marnie Simpson, Danni Armstrong and Scott Thomas & Kady McDermott. Plus, a 'buff butler' gets the the fright of their life in a particularly gruesome prank with a French Guillotine.

Over the last 4 years, I've co-written and been magic producer for 22 Hours of TV magic on 'Tricked'.

Close-up magic, Birmingham NEC

I was once again booked to perform at the Specsavers Annual Ball at the Birmingham NEC. A team of 10 magicians and entertainers were there for the 1000 strong crowd. The event was hosted by TV magician Stephen Mulhern.

Photographer Tim Langlois managed to capture me performing close-up magic to a couple of tables, and got the fantastic shots below.

Oxford Magician

This weekend, I braved the heat to perform close-up magic at Oriel College Oxford. The college was founded in 1326 by King Edward II and is one of the oldest of Oxford's colleges. The event was the Provost's Summer Party, and I was performing Mix and Mingle Close-up magic and Mindreading.

The surroundings were spectacular, and it was a real pleasure to be part of the event.

Close-up magic in Greece

It was an early pickup to head over to Athens to entertain at the Arrow Shipbrokers party. The exclusive event attracts guests from the Posidonia International Shipping Exhibition, and is held at the high-end Dionysos Restaurant which has spectacular views of the Acropolis. The party had an incredible atmosphere with over 500 guests in high spirits and ready to party! This is second time I've been out to perform close-up magic at the event, and was working alongside 2 Caricaturists. It was a really fun gig, but the 4:30am taxi back to the airport which wasn't so much fun.

Close-up magic at The AMAR Foundation Gala Dinner

AMAR is an award-winning charity working in the Middle East. They improve the lives of some of the world's poorest and most disadvantaged people. The Patron of the charity is Prince Charles (also a Member of The Magic Circle!).

I was hired to perform at their Gala Dinner at The Savoy in London. The event raised thousands of pounds for the charity, and was an absolute pleasure to be part of.

You can read more about the work that AMAR do at www.amarfoundation.org

Magician in Norway

Last weekend I was flown off to Stavanger in Norway for a corporate event. I was performing close up magic for the 500 guests in the newly-opened and amazing Clarion Hotel Air (conveniently located just minutes from the Airport!) The audience were fantastically responsive, and the event was a real pleasure to be a part of.
